This bitumen driveway was recently constructed in Toowoomba by Byford Projects using a 2-coat Bitumen Spray Seal. This particular driveway has a base prepared using a 150mm layer of type 2.3 road base compacted to 100% standard compaction before being sealed with a 2-coat Bitumen Spray Seal and 14/7 mm pre-coated aggregate.
Any bitumen driveway is only as good as the base it is placed on. Get the base preparation right and your bitumen will last for years. Get the base wrong, and your new bitumen driveway may only last a few months.
We only use road base that meets or exceeds Main Roads standards and specifications. Please note, test results are available on request.
